Sensory discs and pathways are an excellent tool to support a child's sensory development. Walking on different textures and surfaces stimulates the tactile and proprioceptive (deep sensory) receptors in the feet. In this way, the child develops visual and tactile perception, balance and motor coordination. Walking on the path has a positive influence on planning of movement, gross motor skills and spatial memory. Playing on the pathway improves concentration, allows the child to calm down and focus on the task at hand, which contributes to better results in school by building new connections in the brain responsible for the interpretation of tactile and visual stimuli, arising during sensory stimulation provided by the sensory discs. 

 

The large wooden panels create an original and simple sensory pathway, which is a wonderful obstacle course for playing. Each panel has a different shape, and the circles and squares attached to the panels have different heights, so they interact in different ways with the tactile receptors, located in the skin and proprioceptive, which are found in muscles and joints, among others.  

 

The set includes 3 panels measuring 30x 50 cm, when assembled they form a track of 150 cm in length! 

 

All panels have anti-slip elements, so the toddler can freely and safely move or jump on the discs.
