Natural sensory pathway - small kit KITCHEN TOYS
Wondering what sensory discs and pathways are used for?
Sensory discs are an excellent tool to aid a child's sensory development. Walking on different textures and surfaces stimulates the tactile and proprioceptive (deep sensory) receptors located in the feet. This allows the child to develop tactile perception, balance and coordination. Walking on the path has a positive influence on planning of movement, gross motor skills and spatial memory. Playing on the pathway improves concentration, allows the child to calm down and focus on the task at hand, which contributes to better results in school by building new connections in the brain responsible for the interpretation of tactile and visual stimuli, arising during the sensory stimulation provided by the sensory discs.
Thanks to their natural texture, tactile and visual sensations are similar to those experienced on a forest path, a sea beach or in the kitchen.
Thanks to the natural texture of our discs, tactile and visual sensations are reminiscent of those experienced on a forest path, a sea beach or in the kitchen.
We will remember the sandy beach, the sea breeze, the smell of the forest or a freshly baked apple pie. And the blue of the sky will wrap our imagination in memories of running through a meadow.
All discs have anti-slip elements, thanks to which the toddler can freely and safely move or jump on the discs.
The fine, black beans gently stimulate the feet and hands. Walking on the coffee-scented disc provides an express stimulation of the senses - primarily smell, but also touch and proprioception.
Cinnamon and aniseed evokes associations with beautifully scented apple pie and smells just as good. The rollers gently stimulate the receptors when walking and touching, while the prickly anise stars provide more intense tactile and proprioceptive sensations. The whole composition provides a pleasant visual experience.
This citrus has the power of vitamins, the vibrant colour of the orange slices evokes its taste in the mouth and the pleasant scent stimulates the olfactory receptors. The slightly rough texture stimulates the sensory receptors in the hands and feet, providing non-obvious tactile and proprioceptive sensations.
We salt to the limit. Salt is the basis of cooking. Touching and stepping on the pink salt crystals provides intense tactile and proprioceptive stimuli.
The flecked pods in a beautiful brown colour attract the eyes and hands. It is equally pleasant to tread on it - a guaranteed power of sensations stimulating the tactile system and deep sensation.
