Sensory discs are an excellent tool to aid a child's sensory development. This allows the child to develop tactile perception, balance and coordination.  Walking on the path has a positive influence on planning of movement, gross motor skills and spatial memory. Texture description: 

 

The fine, black beans gently stimulate the feet and hands.  Walking on the coffee-scented disc provides an express stimulation of the senses - primarily smell, but also touch and proprioception.

 

Cinnamon and aniseed evokes associations with beautifully scented apple pie and smells just as good. The rollers gently stimulate the receptors when walking and touching, while the prickly anise stars provide more intense tactile and proprioceptive sensations. The whole composition provides a pleasant visual experience.

 

This citrus has the power of vitamins, the vibrant colour of the orange slices evokes its taste in the mouth and the pleasant scent stimulates the olfactory receptors.
